The TAG Heuer CV2A10.FC6235 Carrera Automatic Chronograph Day-Date Watch certainly earns its reputation as the ‘Porsche’ of men’s watches. It has all the fancy specs and capabilities that you could ever want, all wrapped up in a sleek and attractive body and just like a sports car, it is just as much at home on the long, winding road on the way to some adventure as it is for a glamorous night out on the town. The TAG Heuer Carrera gives off a debonair and a sophisticated sporty look no matter what the occasion. Perhaps this is why its predecessor has been advertised by the likes of Brad Pitt and NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon. This watch is an updated version with an improved 100 meter water resistance.

The Carrera has a 43mm stainless steel case with a black bezel and black dial. It has a large face and a thick case which is in line with the current trend in men’s watches. The watch is powered by automatic movement which means that it is powered by shaking and manual winding. Therefore, in order for the watch to keep up its reserve of power, it must be worn for 8 hours a day of active wear. Luckily, this watch is so good looking and versatile, you will have no problem wearing it for the whole day no matter what you are doing.

This watch has three very prominent dials on the right side of the case. These are for winding up the watch and also used to adjust the watch’s chronographic functions. Given the sleekness of the rest of the watch, these rather large dials may detract a bit from the overall look of the watch. However, this watch is very technical looking in general so for men who enjoy gadgetry and other technical frills, this watch really does have it all. There are three chronograph sub-dials on the main watch dial with 60-second, 30-minute and 12-hour displays. The day and date are also displayed on the dial. There is also a tachymeter scale on the bezel which makes it possible to compute speed based on travel time or distance based on speed. This is a very nice touch considering that this watch in named after one of the most famous sports cars ever made.

To top it all off the watch comes with a shiny, black crocodile leather band. However, it is also possible to purchase this watch with a white dial face and a metal band or rubber strap. TAG Heuer has done a wonderful job gracing this watch with the same sleek and sexy but strong, racy look of the Carrera itself. That combined with all its fancy gadgetry is the ultimate in masculinity, as far as watches go at least.
