As the name of the series hints, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Two-tone Men’s Watch WAP1120.BB0832 was developed for diving by professional divers. It’s also designed to be worn anywhere, and with this model you can be assured of doing so in style.

Polished, brushed stainless steel and 18k yellow gold contrast handsomely on this classic style three hand watch. It has a silver dial with two distinct zones of golden hour marks that create a sun-ray effect inside a ring of smaller black minute marks. The bezel and crown are gold as well, and a line of gold radiates from both sides of the round case along the wristband. There’s a small date display where the 3 hour mark would be.

The Aquaracer WAP1120.BB0832 has an elegantly decorative air. Its screw-in case back has a special diver decoration. The polished, faceted indexes were applied by hand.

Sporty elegance from any angle.

For added safety a weakening battery will cause the second hand to make four-second jumps every four seconds. The time on the watch will be displayed correctly until the battery is exhausted, but you’ll get a good heads-up before that happens. Also, the unidirectional bezel ensures that accidentally bumping and rotating it will only reduce the remaining time, never lengthen it.

Cons

• The price tag; starting retail price is $1900
• If you’re not a diver, some of the special features are mostly just interesting extras
• Doesn’t have the chronograph capacity of some of the other Aquaracer models

Other models of this series with the same dial layout are available. The Aquaracer WAP1112.BA0831 has a blue dial and stainless steel wristband, the Aquaracer WAP1110.FT6029 has a black dial and rubber wristband, and so on in other color and material combinations.
